Things I want to do, and why that makes me crazy

I have a lot of ideas and things I want to do, yet my motivation to get them done is hindered by things like playing video games and watching Rooster Teeth content. I am trying to resolve these problems by scheduling myself to write during the day, then play my video games at night, then using weekends to do all the other things I want to do.

This I have made attempts at many times, but my over enthusiasm about video games plus life commitments such as having another human being rely on my attention to get through the day drains my energy and willingness to get things done. Yet there is so much I want to do, so many things I want to write, so many drawings I want to complete, plus a graphic novel I have been thinking about and planning for almost 8 months but have gotten nowhere with in that time, so I have an IDEA that is so CRAZY it might just work!

I want to spend all of 2015 creating everything!

(depending on job status)

  • I want to write a novel a month, somewhere between 25,000 and 75,000 words to be worked on during the weekdays.
  • Little Witch Graphic Novel I want to work on over weekends, particularly Saturdays.

Anyone else think that sounds crazy? because I do! NanoWrimo has shown me I can write a novel in a month, and this year I hope to prove to myself that I can start AND finish a single novel in a month. So over the next 6 months I intend on planning all the novels I want to write, rough story outlines, world maps and character profiles then working on the story of my graphic novel so by the time I get to working on it, I know what I am doing.

I’m pretty sure I am crazy, but I have so many things I want to do and so many things that I have been putting off for no real good reason other than I am lazy.
